Media: Manga Studio EX 4, WACOM Cintiq 24HD. Britt and I had some major-breakthrough moments in brainstorming ideas for Maddy and this character was finally designed in the fray of it all. I won’t say who it is, but I’ll say this character will play a very important role later in the story!

Media: Manga Studio EX 4, WACOM Intuos3 6x8. Nico’s always seemed to me as one whose been through a lot of phases in her life, and I think Britt agrees. I can’t say for sure If she looked like this at age 19 canonically, but that’s not to say it’s not likely either.

One important aspect about Maddy is the history that’s found both between the investigative trio and from each individual member. With Nico, well…she has a history that almost rivals the others’ histories combined.

Media: Manga Studio EX 4. A somewhat late doodle drawn for Gunnerkrigg Court Fanart Week! Jack is the kind of character I really hated at first but started to really like as the story progressed. Mr. Siddell is a great storyteller.

Media: Autodesk Sketchbook Pro, Wacom Intuos3 6x8, Illustrator CS5. I had a bit of fun with this one, giving Maddy an Iron-Manesque arm. Also wanted to expand in my vector skills. I’m glad that it at least doesn’t look like the art from 6teen.

Character Design | Madison “Maddy” McGee, reference sheet; 15-07-11.
Media: Paint Tool SAI (sketches), Adobe Photoshop CS5, Wacom Intuos3 6x8. Originally filler on my comic, I made this reference sheet so I can try out different clothing ideas for her. Will probably be making reference sheets for Dick and Nico too, although I’m not sure.
